The tapecopy program on the jazz server does just this. Works great even with only one tape drive. We thought the NM version of STORCOPY would do this, but it turns out not to work under MPE/iX 55 to 60. HPRC is recommending their SLTCOPY for DDS to DDS copying; I am waiting for more information. I was also told that a CFE is being addressed, for TurboSTORE to allow one to copy tapes. Kevin Miller worked on a utility to do this recently; check the archives for the recent post on his version of TAPECOPY. And I recall reading about www.allegro.com having a TAPETAPE utility for copying tapes. I have no experience with these, so cannot comment on them.
