Donna, Just a word of advice/warning. You can't use NFS from the MPE prompt (unless the product has drastically changed in the last 12 months). From the product literature, you can easily infer that NFS allows remote system access from the MPE prompt. It does not. You must use the Posix shell. Not that it's a big deal, but when we implemented NFS at a client site several months ago, we had to do a bit of coding to get around that "feature." To be fair, the product works just fine. I just wish the literature was clearer. Pat Shugart Oaksoft Consulting, Inc (540) 882-3749 =============================== Lee, You are not crazy, and thanks for the plug! NetBase NFS is a high-performance implementation of Network File System for either POSIX or MPE XL, that provides transparent access to remote file systems. Our Server version maps a UNIX file system onto the MPE XL or POSIX file system, making an HP3000 look exactly like a UNIX file system. Our Client version is a network services product that enables your HP 3000 computer to share files with other nodes on the same local area network.
