(I don't know if this is the correct forum for this question - if not, then my apologies). I have a completely unsecure MPE 5.5 machine, which I have put Samba/ix on. I have configured the smb.conf file with the following entry (I said it was insecure - but it's only a porting machine, so I don't care), [all] comment = mpe/ix 5.5 guest ok = yes write ok = yes browseable = yes path = / On this machine, I can see, edit and write files in the Samba account, but not in my own account. As far as I can tell (I am no MPE expert), my account is more open than the Samba account. Both accounts have no passwords (yeah, I know I know). Any ideas what I can look at? :listacct samba ******************** ACCOUNT: SAMBA DISC SPACE: 56192(SECTORS) PASSWORD: ** CPU TIME : 458(SECONDS) LOC ATTR: $00000000 CONNECT TIME: 5064(MINUTES) SECURITY--READ : AC DISC LIMIT: UNLIMITED WRITE : AC CPU LIMIT : UNLIMITED APPEND : AC CONNECT LIMIT: UNLIMITED LOCK : AC MAX PRI : 150 EXECUTE : AC GRP UFID : $05620003 $334E2D21 $005571C4 $6C8304C5 $0CE54344 USER UFID: $00000000 $00000000 $00000000 $00000000 $00000000 CAP: AM,AL,GL,ND,SF,BA,IA,PH $ listacct ian ******************** ACCOUNT: IAN DISC SPACE: 3141520(SECTORS) PASSWORD: ** CPU TIME : 33070(SECONDS) LOC ATTR: $00000000 CONNECT TIME: 15517(MINUTES) SECURITY--READ : ANY DISC LIMIT: UNLIMITED WRITE : ANY CPU LIMIT : UNLIMITED APPEND : ANY CONNECT LIMIT: UNLIMITED LOCK : ANY MAX PRI : 150 EXECUTE : ANY GRP UFID : $05620002 $334E2D21 $000D9EC4 $69831059 $02DAF103 USER UFID: $00000000 $00000000 $00000000 $00000000 $00000000 CAP: SM,AM,DI,OP,CV,UV,LG,PS,NA,NM,CS,ND,SF,BA,IA,PM,MR,DS,PH
