Bill after Stan after Glen: > I'd recommend naming the set something like PROD and > skip the "_SET". We have two user volumes on our 959: USER and BACKUP. We try and keep the <long_name> reasonably HP-pure (not quite at 100 percent, but it's close). That way if we blow up one of the four 2 GB drives in the <long_name>, we can pull out the bad drive and do a very quick INSTALL from the SLT we keep handy with everything on the MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET (there, I brought myself to type it all out just once....). I had to do that once some time ago. Could also have used the DISKCOPY utility, but from what I've heard about the DISKCOPY thing (don't think I've used it since the Classic days), an INSTALL with an HP-only <long_name> is much faster; providing it's mostly HP stuff.... I still wonder who the HP engineer was, who came up with that !@#$%^&* 23-character designation for the <long_name>..... Ken "still wishing I could mirror *all* drives" Sletten
