This is how I have replaced drives, twice. I use several switches for various reasons, but SYS and XCOPY did the trick, confirmed by DIRs and CHKDSKs for numbers of files, directories, and bytes used. But the first time was immediately before upgrading to Win95, and I started using Windows Messaging and IE instead of CIS (Compuserve's interface). On the rare occasions when I have to use CIS, I noticed it behaving strangely. But CIS is free, and worth every penny. > -----Original Message----- > From: Gary Dietz [SMTP:[log in to unmask]] > Sent: Monday, April 20, 1998 10:59 AM > To: [log in to unmask] > Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] OFF TOPIC: New Disk Drive In WinTel PC > > I have never gotten the XCOPY method to work 100%.
