Hi Bob and Ferenc, I haven't done the TurboImage to Access conversion... but I regularly move data between my Image database to FoxPro databases (basically Access dbf's) I use SuprTool and output the data in PRN format (comma delimited data records in a ASCII file) I then do a "Append From" command in FoxPro... I am told Access has a similar command. As a result, I have migrated several TurboImage databases to Access, and so can answer yes to (2) and (4). The migration of the data was made quite easy through the use of MB Foster's DataExpress. The migration of the business logic is another (ongoing) story. Here's what I did to move Image data to Access (Reader's Digest version): 1) define procedures in DataExpress to move each dataset to the lan as individual dbase files. 2) import the dbase files into Access. 3) create relationships, forms, queries, and reports in Access as necessary. 4) using Access and external VB programs, reproduce the business logic of the original applications. (1), (2), and part of (3) have been mostly automated. If your database is large enough, you may want to put in step (2.5), and 'upsize' Access to SQL Server. The steam-roller of the Microsoft-party has started. 1) Do you know MS Project? 2) Do you know MS Access? 3) Do you know a (cheap or shareware) PERT and resource alllocation program, running under MPE/V or DOS or Window 3.1? 4) Do you know somebody who migrated a TurboImage database to Microsoft Access under Window NT?
