Stan Sieler already replied with what looks to me to be a good procedure to move the files from the HFS directory to a group with the same name. However, there appears to be another issue that will introduce. You indicate that you have files in the directory with names longer than 16 characters. An HFS directory can contain files with names up to 250+ characters. However, an MPE group can contain only files with names no longer than 16 characters, if in the HFS namespace, and of course 8 bytes in the MPE namespace. If you really have file names longer than 16 bytes, you will have to move the files to an HFS directory, perhaps underneath the group or shorten their names. If these files are part of an Oracle DBE, that may not be trivial.
