I don't think *anyone* has come out to say their platform will be
supported past 2005. HP has shown definite roadmaps for both 3000
hardware development and MPE/iX development out past the year 2000. Since
HP is still making an estimated $500M (US) on the 3000 biz, and is
beginning a new mass advertising campaign in the most visible computer
trade magazines, I think the 3000's future is bright, and at least as
certain as just about any other platform you want to name.
