The following is true ONLY if you are not allowing for bridged traffic across the "routed" network. I have remote DTCs on a "routed" frame relay network without any of the conditions noted below. This is possible because I have "bridged" AFCP traffic. Some would say that my network is not longer "routed". While this is technically true, it is only true for the DTC traffic using AFCP. All other traffic is still routed. Terry Simpkins ----------------------------------------------- In order for a DTC to communicate with its host over a routed network, the following conditions must be observed: You must be using HP OpenView DTC Manager The remote router must be a DTC that handles routable traffic - I believe DTC16 MX and DTC16 RX and DTC72 MX are okay A local DTC must also handle routable traffic.
