A network which intermittantly/frequently drops packets and TCP timers
which are not configured optimally can result in some delays...

1. You can check your nmlg files for records reporting "TCP RETRANSMISSION".

2. You can check nmmgr for the configuration of the TCP timers.

   Path:  NETXPORT.GPROT.TCP

   [1  ]     Retransmission Interval Lower Bound (Secs)
   [480  ]   Maximum Time to Wait For Remote Response (Sec)
   [5  ]     Initial Retransmission Interval (Secs)
   [4  ]     Maximum Retransmissions per Packet

   This is the TCP timer configuration that works for me.
