It is compatible with modes 2 and 6. It will allow DBUPDATE but not DBPUT or DBDELETE. It is the Image equivalent of FOPEN with aoptions (12:4) = 0101. In the real world, I have never seen or heard of anyone actually using mode 2. Also, if you use CIUPDATE, you cannot use mode 2, because implicit in a CIUPDATE is a delete and put to the changed chains or sort items.
