I currently have a terminal which I can not get working. It was
working then suddenly stopped (according to the user). I have
moved the terminal to another location and it works therefore it
is not the terminal. I have reset the port (from the DTC
Manager) and reset the ldev (from sysdiag). I have gone as far
as to redo some of the wiring to the DTC and punched the terminal
down to a different ldev and still no luck.

     My question is:
Is there a way to use the DTC Manager Self Test to help determine
the cause of this and various other problems? In this situation
I have discovered the following: If I do a port loop-back self
test it succeeds. If I do a terminal loop-back self test with it
wired the way I belief it should be then the self test fails but
I get a string of characters on the terminal. If I reverse
second pair (which often solves the problem) and perform a
terminal loop-back self test I get nothing on the terminal.

Any help anyone could give me on this situation would be
     appreciated.

     Thanks,
