Pardon the waste of bandwidth, but the discussion on punched cards brought back nerd memories. I started out life as an operator on a Burroughs B2500. It read cards, and punched cards, merged tape masterfiles and details, and had 100MB fixed disk. One of my fellow operators got married. We collected MILLIONS of punched out rectangles, and used this as confetti. He got into trouble with the minister for "littering" the church and grounds. FOUR YEARS LATER, he and his wife still kept finding small overpunches around the house, in the car, in clothes etc. Nerdish, no? Regards Neil Harvey
