yes. we have see this happend to us. we fixed the problem by taking off all global parameters in npconfig.pub.(comment all lines with an #) If this is not an option then you must add one line to the under the printer as an option " pjl_supported = false" otherwise the 3000 never gets acknowledgement that the output was sent. Some printer families are much different than others, especially anything under the LJ4si. it is best to comment all globals parameters. npconfig.pub.sys 51 # global (setup_file = PCLLPD.HPENV.SYS) # LaserJet 4Si setup file 52 # message_interval = 60 # Repeat msgs every >= 60 53 # banner_tray = 1 # Upper tray has colored 55 # data_tray = 4 # Lower tray has regular 57 # banner_trailer = FALSE # Only need a header page 58 # pjl_supported = TRUE # LJ4Si is a full PJL device 59 # jam_recovery = TRUE) # Reprints jammed pages 62 900 (network_address = xxx.xxx.59.161 #financial aid 63 setup_file = LJ3SISET.HPENV.SYS) 64 910 (network_address = xxx.xxx.60.23) #purchasing 65 920 (network_address = xxx.xxx.58.40 #ais front office 66 setup_file = phil.HPENV.SYS) 67 925 (network_address = xxx.xxx.58.37) #ais laser jet 5si 68 930 (network_address = xxx.xxx.58.41) #lrc also, if use are using an environment file, make sure you keep it unnumbered otherwise you will get line numbers to appear in the top right of the output. much thanks to tony at the hp response center .
