People, I recently experienced a problem with the TurboStore "Restore" command. When I reported it to the HP Response Center, they found one other case of the same basic problem. It had to do with doing a generic restore of "@[log in to unmask]@". The problem was that some of the files in two of my accounts were restored without any access rights, they were simply blank. The files in question were many different types (Image datasets, flat file, executables, etc.), but not all of the files within the account had the problem. If I logged into the account I was able to execute the programs without a problem but if I tried to execute them from another account I got a security violation. I tried using ALTSEC and MPEX's ALTFILE commands to set the access rights but it made no difference. It turns out that I had to restore each of the two accounts separately and I had to include the ";ACCOUNT=" parameter (even though it's redundant) and this resolved the problem. The two accounts hold our Mail Order software from Smith, Gardner, & Assoc. The other case reported to the HP Response Center was somebody running Collier-Jackson Accounting Software. No other accounts experienced the problem. Thanx, Jon Backus HP System Manager AB&C Group
