I am trying to determine the good / better / best way to have an HP3000 connect to the outside world, ie. communicate. Whether the HP3000 contacts AT&T, MCI, or Sprint to exchange information, I feel it is "kludgey" at best. Have you found a successful way? One option I have is to use my HP9000 (D250) as the gateway box, using all the open-standards that HP-UX has built into the OS. I then tie my HP9000 and HP3000 together using DCE between the two boxes. Speedware does the data transfers between the HP9000 and HP3000. Just wondering if I can squeeze more out of the HP3000. When I let the telco's know I have a HP3000 they just have a frustrating look on their face. If I say HP9000, all smiles. Thanks in advance, Curt Tueffert Hawthorne Computer Center, Inc.
