<<A few weeks (or perhaps more) ago, several of you mentionned that you were using the Inbox which comes with Windows 95 (aka Exchange) to manage your e-mail. Perhaps you might be interested in knowing there is an upgrade for this product which can be found at www.microsoft.com/windows/software/exupd.htm. From what I know, it speeds up the loading time and the sending of messages and also renames the environment to Windows messaging so as to cut down the confusion with BackOffice-based Exchange 4.0.>> Note that it's a little more than a "rename" operation; this update actually replaces the built-in "Exchange Client" software in Windows 95 with a new component called "Windows Messaging", that lives in a different directory. To minimize confusion, first remove the original Exchange client as follows: go into Control Panel.Add/Remove Programs, select the "Windows Setup" tab, clear the check mark in front of "Microsoft Exchange", OK back out, and restart Windows. Then run the "exupdusa.exe" download. Steve Dirickson WestWin Consulting (360) 598-6111 [log in to unmask]
