An excellent idea and service that Interex could provide !! It wouldn't take many people before the pro-rated cost of bus fare would be trivial.... For those readers who may be thinking of coming to IPROF-97 from out of town, if you have never been to Frys the experience is highly recommended. It's pretty much the ultimate computer store (at least that I have ever seen); roughly the size of a big Home Depot outlet. A bunch of us went there informally during IPROF-96, shortly after the new Frys superstore opened a few miles down the street from the LeBaron Hotel. SIDEBAR: In case anyone is still wondering, IPROF-97 will NOT be at the LeBaron Hotel again. In fact, this sounds like such an obvious good idea that as volunteer IPROF conference coordinator I will take it upon myself to say that I figure we should just go ahead and adopt Deloy's idea, and add BOF FRYS to the call for registration so that people can check it off when they send in the reg; plus list it on the program. Just like the previous hp3000-L dinners at IPROF, this should be an extra-charge item..... Except expect the extra charge will only be the few bucks needed to cover the cost of the bus fare (hmmmm.....: "except - expect - extra"... try and say that real fast three times....). Thanks to Deloy for mentioning this good idea... .... Another reason for out-of-towners to come to IPROF: So you can go shop for bargains at Frys !!! Ken Sletten
