At REXON in Simi Valley, CA we had a 935 that had over the specified limit. At my current place of employment we have a 947LX with 224MB on it. I remember that when we installed the "more than spec" memory in the 947 that the reasoning was the 128MB memory board we had just put in was invented 'after' the 947LX put into production. The "spec" was based on the number of 64MB memory boards that could be put into the maximum number of slots on a 947LX. The new 128MB memory boards that were "plug compatible" obviously exceeded the "old spec" which was based on a faulty assumption of the maximum size of a memory board. ---------- From: owner-hp3000-l[SMTP:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Tuesday, October 01, 1996 10:46 AM To: HP3000-L Subject: Memory max on 3000/935? Anyone out there running with more than 96MB of memory on a 935. All HP references would indicate this to be the max but sometimes references are out of date!? TIA PLV
