We have been a Maestro shop since at least 1988. We like it very much,
although like any feature-rich product, there is a learning curve. The
support has been very good.

The key files are TurboImage or KSAM so that is possible to develop
local hooks into the software. The schedule files can be set up using
EDIT/3000 in a manner similar to COBEDIT for COBOL COPYLIB modules, so
it was not very hard to learn. I like the fact that the schedules have
a couple of ways of inserting comments, always a handy feature. Unison
also provided us, on a non-disclosure basis, some additional information
that helped us do much more. I have a whole set of QUIZ routines that
give me some ad hoc information.

We also use Spoolmate from Unison.

You can all me to chat if you like.

Hello All,

I work for a manufacturing company Called HAGER HINGE, and yes, we make
hinges.

Anyway, we are considering a product called Maestro, to do job handling on
multiple 3k's and soon to be multiple 9k's.

I just wanted hear from people on the list as to how well, or not well the
product worked out in their particular shop.

Please USERS ONLY, salesman from Unison (sp?) need not respond and or plug.
