The ST32550N (2GB seagate) and ST15150 (4GB Seagate) drives are not known to cause disk corruption (as far as i know!) except on CIO systems...specifically 925, 935, 949, 950, 955, 960 and 980. Even then, this is fixed in patch mpejx14. The 2GB and 4GB drives are supported with express 3 powerpatch or simply 2 patches mpejx14 for the iodfault file and ofdhxe3 which provides the offline diagnostics for the 4GB drives, or odijx25 doing the same stuff for the 2GB drives. I remember awhile back on this list some discussion over the reliability of the 2 GB drives. Does anyone know if this has been resolved? We are now needing to add 2 to 4 GB and told the 1 GB drives are not available. Our HP rep is advising us to buy 2 GB C5257U SCSI drives at this point in time. What about the 4 GB drive? I would appreciate any comment. Thanks, Grant Grant Hoag - Internet email: [log in to unmask] Systems Analyst - Voice: (805) 546-3248 Fax: (805) 546-3102 Cuesta College - P.O.
