What is required is Thinlan/ix which is now included in FOS 5.0 > The session connections to the HP3000 via the LAN will typically be > made using either HP-VT or Telnet, neither of which will require you > to have Netware/iX. If you are using reflections, that will require VT Sessions. If you are using Business Sessions, requires a TCP/IP protocal (recommend Frontier Technologies). Minisofts emulator I believe does not require additional purchases. > If I read your message correctly, it sounded as if you were mostly > concerned with switching from sessions via serial connections to > sessions via LAN connections. The benefits of switching are great. Multiple sessions, faster file transfers, network printing (of course this requires a third party package, I recommend ESPUL from RAC) If your pc's are pentiums, purchase PCI lan cards.
