Is this true for anyone else, or am I just lucky? On the first invocation of 'ls -l' (in the POSIX shell under 5.0), the permissions for the first file are displayed, then the cursor just sits there for over *30* seconds before continuing with the rest of the display. After this first invocation, response time is fine. The environment is such that I *may* be the only one using the POSIX shell. Is this a known feature? --Glenn Cole Software al dente, Inc.
