Last spring/early summer you could purchase the 987/150 hardware upgrade but
were unable to install it until 5.0. Because 5.0 wasn't 'quite' ready for
prime time yet, HP came out with a 'push' release so customers who had
purchased the upgrade could indeed install it.

On occasion HP has done this in the past whereby new hardware is ready to
market but the drivers/etc. in support of it are in the next release and
sometimes the the release is held-up. Hence a 'special', limited release
for those customers who had purchased the hardware and were getting a little
upset with HP because they had paid for it but couldn't use it yet....!
