My *personal* opinion is that it is a good idea to remove everything off the system volume set except for FOS and subsys. There could be some argument for putting all utility type software required for your system on the system VS also, but I don't feel strongly either way about this. If you want to do this on one drive, you may find problems. How big is you FOS and subsys (depending on the products you own from HP this is variable). The second problem is having all system VS I/O going through one drive. Based on your box, I would suggest to start with 2 drives. Having system VS all on one drive can (most likely) cause I/O performance problems. You might look at splitting to at least 2 or 3 drives if you do find a performance issue. Again, this is *my* opinion. I'm sure there will be some who have additional advice.
