On Monday January 22, Larry Botd responded to Evan's posting: >> Which indicates that I *do not* have the entire Allbase product -- only >> IMAGE/SQL. Nor can I go to G1.13 because, even though it's supported >> on 4.0, it requires a version of TurboIMAGE that's only supported on 5.0. >Not to get into the other areas of your post, but I saw this last >statement. My understanding is that TI is *not* OS dependent. In fact, >I have had TI 5.0 running on a 4.0 machine before MPE/iX 5.0 was >released. There are some differences in how they accomplish certain >features, but I was not aware that there is a version that is OS dependent. >What was the specific requirement given to you? This may have to do with the fact that the G1.13 version of Allbase includes a C.06.XX version of TurboIMAGE which now supports Jumbo Datasets (>4GB) which is accomplished using Posix files and HFS support is not until 5.0 (4.5 really for all of the knit pickers).
