In a message dated 95-11-25 10:18:30 EST, you write: >Can anyone help me to convert a TurboImage database to IMAGE/SQL ? > >Brenda > > What is there to convert? We would need more information, like what are you running on, which version of IMAGE do you presently have, which version of MPE/iX (if you are on a PA-RISC box) are you on? To supply this information, you need to do: 1) PA-RISC of Classic ? Supply model number of CPU. 2) Version of IMAGE. Go into query and type VERSION, supply the TurboIMAGE Overall VUF eg: HP30391C.06.01 TurboIMAGE/XL 3) Version of MPE: At the CI prompt type: SHOWME, supply Release: eg C.50.50 When you supply this information, we can best describe what needs to be done, if you are not already on IMAGE/SQL. There will be no migration from TurboIMAGE to IMAGE/SQL, simply an operating system upgrade (maybe). Once you have IMAGE/SQL, there are many options opened to you, depending on what your ultimate goal is. For example, Do you want to access IMAGE data with PC shrink-wrapped tools such as Excel or Word or Access? Perhaps you want to write Visual BASIC programs on your PC to access IMAGE/SQL data. Maybe you want to access IMAGE data via ISQL or other SQL tools. Maybe you want to use ORACLE and attach an instance to IMAGE data. Kind regards, Denys. . .
