One off-the-shelf barcode font cartridge that still includes the 3-of-9
barcode is the HP "Barcodes and More" Custom Font cartridge for
LJ4 printers.  Far as I know the only place you can get it is direct
from HP-Corvallis;  phone number = 503-750-2407.  Used to be you
could get them from HP Direct, but they stopped recognizing the
part number some time ago.....
 
HP part number for "Barcodes and More" is 36596A#C06;  price
is (swallow hard) $195 each......
