I just upgraded a customer from MPE/iX 4.0 to 5.0 push, with the latest
powerpatch.
 
Everything seems to be fine with one rather large exception.
 
This customer has been using and depending upon a fairly old version of
EXPERT, which I believe is no longer supported by Cognos.
 
Since the 5.0 update, Expert dies with a stack overflow. All the usual
remedies have been tried, including run ...;maxdata=31232;nocb. To no avail.
 
Presumeably, there should be some way to reduce the problem program's stack
appetite.
 
Can anyone suggest a solution?
