My problems stem from users that are infrequent accessors (we use Desk to front-end applications for novice users, and they may never read mail) and users that use the size-unlimited intray for storage of mail items (we encourage downloading). I would like to use the "everyone" server to send out notices, but we have a nontrivial percentage of users that may not read mail.
