Hello again, one and all! Thanks for the generous reponses to my previous query about make and perl. I was able to get both from the jazz.external.hp.com site and they are both working superbly. The present query is based on the need to be able to see other file systems on the (local) network as 'mounted' files on the 3000, and vice versa. The term 'automount' keeps coming up in conversation, as does 'NFS,' and the very nice person on the other end of the response center call knew that these had nothing at all to do with 'network communication' as such. Is there some method already in existence that will help in this regard? I have downloaded all the additional ports from the BSD section at jazz, including the remsh, rcp, and csh code. Is there some connection with all these? I can afford the effort to write something, but not the time: I'm overdue now! Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.
