We've also had very good success with Delphi and generally find it a better
performing programming tool than Visual Basic.  For one thing, it handles
data structures far better.  It's certainly not perfect, and in some spots
kludgy, and our experience is still pretty limited.  (We've yet to write a
DLL with it yet, for example, but that is something impossible to VB.)  One
thing that made it far easier for us to be productive, is that we already
had Borland Pascal with Objects V7.0. The Delphi manuals, as all will atest,
are the weakest part of the product.  Fortunately our BPO manuals helped us
there.
