Well, in 4.5 there was a similar problem about an unresolved external, in
that case an 'X' initialization routine.  Fortunately, the same routine
could be found in the static libraries (RL) in LIB.SYS, and it was a simple
matter of extrating that one routine, and either loading it into your
current init libraries or linking it discretely with your application.  In
either case, the routine was not significant for what we were doing.  (Who
is doing X clients on the 3000 anyway, esp on 4.0?)
