Perhaps somebody can help me with a loader problem. I am trying to run with
Oracle 7, but I get the message

:idf /who
FAILED TO LOAD LIBRARY ORACLEXL.PUB.UTOOLS. (LDRERR 467)
EXEC level of the code exceeds the maximum privilege level allowed in the file.
(LDRERR 404)
Native mode loader message 404
IDF.EXE.PORT61DX ;INFO="/who"
UNABLE TO LOAD PROGRAM TO BE RUN. (CIERR 625)

at runtime. I suspect this has to do with privilege levels. All univ entries in
the ORACLEXL (which I restored from the Oracle 7.0.15 tape) have XLEAST=3 and
PRIVLEV=2. Our driver code, which calls the XL, has XLEAST=3 and PRIVLEV=3.
Because the privlev of the calling code is 3, and the xleast of the oracle code
is also 3, I think it should work. Or am I missing something ? What I don't
understand is that the command idf /who which I gave does not even use the Oracle
driver, so it should not try and load the XL. Why does it do that? I have defined
the library in the search list at link time, but does this mean that it is
always loaded?

I do not have this problem with my own utility XL, which has the same xleast and
priv levels as the oracle xl. My application code has 3 and 3 as usual, and I can
load my xl allright from there.

Any ideas ?

Thanks.
