Here in Canada it is amazing to watch what advertisers can do. With cable TV
we get all the American networks along with the Canadian ones. If there is a
program shown on two networks (NBC and CTV for example) then the local CTV
signal replaces the NBC for the same time slot. When the program is over the
NBC signal returns. Normally this is no problem but sometimes somebody
screws up and the signal does not get switched back or if the local CTV is
broadcasting a different program in that time slot it still replaces the NBC
channel.

It's the old golden rule in action.

You mean it's illegal to ignore the wishes of some advertisers?
