Get real. Hmmmm Secret Service - people who are not supposed to say anything anyway. Seems to me that this would have been perfect as well. No one can make the SS talk about anything. > > And what's with the gap in reporting a shooting and the Kennedy > incident? VP has the SS tell the police that he will address them in the AM after sleeping it off. I am sure he did not follow the ambulance to the hospital. Are you telling me that this could not happen? > > In this case, it was a silly accident but the first concern was for > the victim and there were a lot of people around, including law > enforcement, ie the Secret Service. SS is not LAW ENFORCEMENT. Law Enforcement would have taken blood test or made him walk a line to ensure he was sober. This was a gun accident not a traffic voilation. Someone may die due to his action. This is the sad part. > > I do not remember that it was necessary to immediately inform the > newspapers of an accident. That's a new one on me. A national figure shoots someone by accident and it's left to a local person who just happens to own the land the VP shoots someone on and she is the one to tell the "local paper" about how it really happened. I smell cover up. This whole issue smells like bad judgement and that only happens when you have a cover up. > > It is clear that Cheney is at fault here, but stuff happens. And that's a bad thing? Why do you think they tale drivers licenses away from the elderly when they can no longer drive safely. It's the same with guns don't you think? >Whether you approve of humting or not is not the issue, it's just another thing in > which the occupant of the White House and the VP will be forbidden to > partake in the future. > > It reminds me of the incident in the late 1970s when the newly-elected > prime minister of Quebec was driving himself with his lady friend at > 3:00AM and he hit a man on the street. Just because he is a PM does not mean he cag get away with murder. > > So go ahead and look for a sinister side to this hunting accident, as > for me, I just feel sadness for the victim and for the VP who must be > beside himself with grief. I feel sadness for the victm here Denys, that's why I do not find this funny at all. The poor guy is going to have health issues the rest of his life because of this. What I do not find funny is the fact that all americans cannot get the facts t since NO ONE IS TALKING. I would like to hear it from the guy who got shot if he is willing to, but that will never happen because STUFF HAPPENS.
