As Employee Relations Chair and one of the three who requested this open meeting, I do not feel that it should be designated a Faculty Senate meeting. One of the primary ideas of the meeting is that it is a gathering together of ALL concerned parties. If it is considered only a Faculty Senate meeting, then the opinions and concerns of the staff who will be gathered there will be diluted. I don't think this should happen. We will have someone from the Employee Relations Committee and someone from the Exempt Staff Council there taking minutes, as well.
