fyi.. The 3944 firmware will crash your system if you have >3.75GB of memory installed plus the fact it has never been "officially" tested and certified on MPE. I was also not aware the firmware was what enabled you to see "newer" drives. Typically this functionality is delivered via a patch. For example, for 6.0 that would be MPELXQ3A (superceded by MPEMX46A)..
