Here's something to add a bit of fun (pun intended, of course) to your HP system: A Slashdot discussion on a more intelligent/interactive shell ( http://www.xirium.com/tech/mud-shell/idea/index.html ) resulted in a piece of Perl code acting as a shell that looks like this ( http://www.xirium.com/tech/mud-shell/example/index.html ). Since it's Perl it should be able to run on a 3K with minor modifications. What a delight! A shell that responds like a text adventure. Ahh the memories.... Enjoy, Curtis PS: Of course the idea of a reasonably intelligent shell still isn't a bad one -- especially for newbies. I remember something called "keysh" which was quite nice, and EASYTIME is still available/usable is it not? Of course the advent of GUI products like GUI-3000 obviate the need for (more) intelligent shells (...or do they?) ----------------------------------------------------- Confidentiality Notice: This e-mail transmission may contain confidential or legally privileged information that is intended only for the individual or entity named in the e-mail address.
