Subject: [HP3000-L] Ldev Boo Boo: Need help

All:

I was in Volutil doing a format of Ldev 2 when the power went off and
the box went down like the Titanic.

After restarting the system, DSTAT ALL command at the colon prompt does
not show the drive and VOLUTIL no longer recognizes it.

So I brought the box down and at the ISL> prompt I went into MAPPER
which shows the disc drive (ST19171N, 9gb) on the system. However, I
went into DISCUTIL at the ISL> prompt and tried to configure and mount
the drive again. I got the error message:

UNABLE TO CALCULATE DISC LIMITS ON LDEV 2 - VOLUME NOT MOUNTED

Any ideas on how to fix this problem without having to buy a new
ST19171N disc drive?

Thanks,
Brian.
