Well, I just got my marketing brochure from HP, PeopleSoft, and TSC, aptly titled "The end of the road?". If you haven't seen one of these yet, it folds into a nice little tombstone for the HP e3000. One of the little marketing blurbs says "Parts, upgrades, memory, all you need to keep your system running, will be unavailable in about 20 months. But support will continue until 2006." So, what kind of support will HP continue if parts are unavailable? Or do they mean that HP will have parts for supported customers only? If the former, then HP is selling hot air for support. If the latter, then it's a veiled attempt to push people away from third-party support and into HP support, thereby milking the last possible dollar from the e3000 cow. Well, it's the end of the road alright, but for our relationship to HP, not the e3000. Jim Phillips Information Systems Manager Email: [log in to unmask] Therm-O-Link, Inc. Phone: 330-527-2124 P. O.
