I am sorry, but I misstated part of my question. The documentation that stated that parts may not be available for the 3000 came from HP Marketing. My client has had HP Support for about 20 years and is extremely concerned that all of sudden HP is not only saying that support will run out in 2005 but parts may not be available even if the client is on support after October 2003. This is a major HP shift of policy. All our plans being made is to move off the HP3000 (unless something like OPENMPE becomes a viable option) by Jan 2005 for final user testing. We might be able to accomplish this. However It would be impossible to meet a Oct 2003 deadline. Since this is official HP marketing material, the client is in a total quandary about the real status. I am hoping someone here might have more insight on this. Thanks for your help.
