Hi Wirt, Donna and Rich :) All had great answers (and Donna even a command file for this!). I ended up using Rich Trapp's answer of cut and paste from the file I created on my PC in NotePad+. I pasted all the commands I had typed in the NotePad+ at the SYSGEN prompt on the 3k and it worked great! Thanks All :) Art "working quickly " Bahrs ----- Original Message ----- From: <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]>; <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Tuesday, December 04, 2001 9:57 AM Subject: Re: Adding Devices to a 979-200 > Art asks: > > > Ok... dumb question time... > > > > I am going to be adding a bunch of devices and then doing a "DOIONOW"... > > So, I was wondering... can I take the file that SYSGEN creates and edit it > > ... rather than lots of REDO's inside of SYSGEN... > > Yes, but be sure *not* to tell HP support what you did when you call them. > They're just going to yell at you for ten minutes. > > SYSGEN is going to syntax check and validate everything you do while you're > in SYSGEN.
