Been waiting for HP network people to call me back for an hour now . . . More observations: The FTP will not connect even to intself. I can "DS" into the system fine. So the question becomes: "why does FTP inbound get hung up?" I wish to avoid the problem in the future. Just restarting FTP (JINETD job) may work but I prefer to find the root cause of the problem.
