While I have no practical experience with EMC or TimeFinder myself,
I would also suspect that it will be important to VSCLOSE the volume
sets before splitting off one BCV for backup on another system.

Otherwise the BCV "snapshot" might be in an inconsistent state as
MPE/iX tries to avoid disc I/O by keeping things in main memory.
