The first commercial nuclear powered electric generation plant is in Idaho, at least that is what the sign out side of the building says. There are also facilities in Idaho to test new nuclear power plant designs and store and process nuclear fuel rods. Additionally for several years the U.S. Navy had a noticeable part of their nuclear engineering personal trained there. At a minimum the U.S. government considers these facilities high tech enough to clearly mark the area with very noticeable signs stating 'Restricted Area Use of Deadly Force Authorized'.
