Actually, I just tried gathering (g <filename> to last) 1281 lines of Fortran source code to a file and it worked fine. ?? This is the version of Quad I am running. QUAD -- JHK, Quest Software, KWS, Summit Information Systems, January, 1993 Compiled with SPLash! (c) Software Research Northwest, Inc. Hope this helps.
