Hello, IMAGE users worldwide: Ken Sletten (SIGIMAGE Chairman) prepared several handouts, which were distributed during the SIGIMAGE meeting today. Here are the PDF versions, which I prepared from Ken's masters: 2000 SIGIMAGE Enhancement Ballot: Final RESULTS as of September 2000: http://www.adager.com/SigImage/Ballot2000results.pdf August 2000: Enhancement Requests Now/Soon Available in Image/SQL http://www.adager.com/SigImage/NowSoon.pdf 2001 SIGIMAGE *Preliminary* Ballot (28 Aug 2000) http://www.adager.com/SigImage/Ballot2001.pdf 2001 Ballot Extended Enhancement Descriptions (28 Aug 2000) http://www.adager.com/SigImage/Ballot2001descriptions.pdf Please study these documents and share your comments via HP3000-L. To search HP3000-L archives or to post, subscribe, unsubscribe and change your HP3000-L subscription options: http://raven.utc.edu/archives/HP3000-L.html Also, please be sure to vote as soon as the official SIGIMAGE 2001 ballot comes up next year. Jeanette Nutsford did the work required to update the SIGIMAGE membership roster and asked for a show of hands regarding the election of officers (the consensus was to leave the current calendar, which calls for elections during the Spring of the Northern Hemisphere). We had the pleasure of listening to a status report from the IMAGE Lab by Jon Bale. Jon described the soon-to-be-released (currently in Beta) version of IMAGE which increases several IMAGE limits (i.e., you may now have 240 datasets, 1200 data items, 64 paths per master dataset, as well as datasets larger than 80 gigabytes). Jon took careful notes regarding an enhancement request by Rick Gilligan of CASE (who needs to be able to determine the run-time version of IMAGE via SOME simple non-privileged mechanism, such as a CI variable). We also enjoyed a nice informal talk by Dave Wilde, CSY's Research & Development Manager. For many of the attendees, it was a wonderful opportunity to match several faces (not to mention the voices and the expressions) with the appropriate names. Thank you, HP, for a job well done.
