Without doing a lot of "reading between the lines" and making
assumptions the question is non-sensical.

First the question compares apples and oranges.  Image is a DBMS -
Data Base Management System - like Oracle, Sybase, DB2 etc.    SQL is
a data manipulation, programming, and database specification language.

Second, Image/SQL obviously supports the most used parts of the SQL
standard.   And if you don't like HP's implementation of it there are
three other vendors who have their own SQL to Image utilities.
