This came at just the right time because I'm struggling with the same issue. I have a share set up and I can copy files from that group to my hard drive but not the other way around. I've set guest account = mgr.samba and have the share defined exactly as your example but it still gives me Access denied errors when I try to copy a file to that directory in Windows Explorer. I set up a posix folder within the group and that folder works fine. Any ideas?
